Steve ManiaciGeneral Manager Born in Shafter California, Steve grew up in a strong agricultural community. He worked with his father in his nursery starting in 1968, at age 8, and grew his own commercial crop of house plants at age 12. Steve and his father grew grafted grapevines with Glen Stoller starting in 1970, and he has been involved in the nursery industry continuously to this day. Steve has worked as Production Manager of Sunridge Nurseries from 1995 to 2007, and is now General Manager. Steve received a B.S. degree in Horticulture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo California in 1982. He is an active member in the International Plant Propagators Society; the Fruit Tree, Nut Tree, and Grapevine Improvement Advisory Board, (IAB); and is currently second Vice President of the Kern County Farm Bureau. |
