Ted C. ThompsonOregon State Field Representative Ted C. Thompson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1991 with a Bachelors of Science in Landscape Architecture and Horticulture. Following graduation, Ted practiced as an award winning Registered Landscape Architect for sixteen years in Wisconsin. Ted returned to school to pursue his passion for wine. During the summer of 2008, Ted entered the Vineyard Management and Winemaking programs offered at the Northwest Viticulture Center at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon. Ted’s interest in the wine industry grew out of his early exposure to both his parents’ passion for making wine, beer and moonshine in the basement of the home he grew up in the Midwest. Ted began his career in the winemaking industry by working the harvest and crush at Cooper Mountain Vineyards, gaining experience in both the vineyard and winery. Ted is now currently living in Tualatin in the Willamette Valley. In his free time, Ted is an avid wine collector, spends a great deal of time outdoors and enjoys traveling, bicycling, cooking, gardening, hiking, camping and skiing. With his considerable background and experience in the horticultural industry and his passion for wine and the industry, he will make an immediate and positive impact on your experience with Sunridge Nurseries. |
