Pots
Potted plants are produced from dormant cuttings. They can either be rootstock or scionwood. Grown in a 4″ plastic container, potted plants primarily are used for new vineyard sites. They are shipped as fully established green-grown grapevines suitably planted in spring and summer and preferably with drip irrigation.
- Grapevines can be grown on their own root where the soils are absent of nutrient, nematode and phylloxera issues.
- In California’s Central Valley potted vines are a popular choice among the table grape growers.
